Dr Rachel Ward graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (distinction) in 2011. After spending a year in the maxillofacial department at Waikato Hospital she worked in private practice before heading to London for 2 years. Whilst in London, she did her first training in injectables with the Harley Academy in 2017. Since then she has trained with the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics as well as attending multiple other courses both in person and online. Dentists are perfectly placed to offer these types of treatments due to their in-depth understanding of facial anatomy, experience injecting, needing a good cosmetic eye to deliver day-to-day treatment and excellent cross infection control practices. Once your appointment has been made, you will be emailed an information sheet to read and a medical history form to fill out. There is a thorough consultation process and you are under no obligation to go ahead with treatment. Dysport™ treatment (“botox”) will usually be performed at the consultation if you wish to go ahead with treatment. A seperate appointment will need to be made for dermal fillers.
